In 2023, the ASEAN Citation Index (ACI) is set to conduct a comprehensive re-evaluation of journals that have been previously approved for inclusion in its system. The outcome of this assessment was publicly disclosed on July 25, 2023, in Bangkok, Thailand. The results revealed that among the 661 journals representing Southeast Asian countries, a total of 405 journals have successfully met the eligibility criteria, while 256 journals were not retained within the ACI.

HO CHI MINH CITY OPEN UNIVERSITY JOURNAL OF SCIENCE – SOCIAL SCIENCES (hereinafter referred to as the Journal) is a specialized academic journal that follows a double-blind peer-review process and open access policy. The Journal strives to enhance its integration and connectivity with both national and international data systems; our primary audiences consists of researchers engaged in the fields within the scope of the Journal.

The Journal serves as a platform for the completed scientific research encompassing areas such as Education, Sociology - Philosophy - Politics, Law, Linguistics, Psychology. The Journal actively encourages scientists to present research findings employing novel methodologies, technologies, and techniques. These research outcomes are expected to have a significant impact on local, national, and global scales. Furthermore, the journal welcomes specific research focusing on socio-economic conditions and management mechanisms in areas that have received limited attention.

The areas include, but are not limited to, the following areas:

  • Education: General education, Didactics of School Subjects, Educational Management, Education of Specific Branches.

  • Sociology - Philosophy - Politics: Political Sociology, Management Sociology, Civil Sociology, Sociology of Gender and Family, and Modern Western Sociology; Logic, Ethics, Philosophy in Natural Sciences, Social Philosophy, Cultural Philosophy, Western Philosophy, Eastern Philosophy; International Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, The Rule of Law, Public Policy and Public Administration.

  • Law: Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Economic Law, Civil Law, Family and Marriage Law, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law, Criminology, International Law.

  • Linguistics: Theoretical Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Interdisciplinary Linguistics.

  • Psychology: Social Psychology, Educational Psychology, Management Psychology, Personality Psychology, Consultative Psychology, Business Psychology, Legal Psychology, Linguistic Psychology, Social Work.
