Aims & Scope
Ho Chi Minh City Open University Journal of Science - Engineering and Technology (ET) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal established in 2011 as a specialized journal developed from the Ho Chi Minh City Open University Journal of Science, founded in 2006. The Journal is dedicated to advancing knowledge and innovation in engineering and technology to address contemporary challenges related to digital transformation, sustainable development, and the enhancement of quality of life.
The Journal publishes high-quality research that makes significant contributions to the development and application of computational methods, digital technologies, experimental solutions, and emerging technologies for the design, analysis, operation, and optimization of engineering systems. In particular, ET encourages interdisciplinary research integrating fundamental science, applied engineering, and data-driven methodologies to enhance the efficiency, intelligence, adaptability, resilience, and sustainability of engineering and technological systems.
ET particularly welcomes manuscripts that develop novel technologies, establish advanced engineering methodologies, or provide rigorous experimental evidence with meaningful implications for engineering practice and technological innovation. Submitted manuscripts are expected to advance the state of the art within their respective fields while demonstrating the potential to generate significant impact on scientific research, engineering practice, and technological development.

Out of Scope
The Journal does not consider manuscripts that:
- fall outside the disciplinary scope defined above;
- do not conform to the article types accepted by the Journal;
- are primarily descriptive without demonstrating meaningful scientific contribution or technological novelty;
- present consultancy reports or engineering applications that lack broader scientific significance or generalizability;
- fail to employ a clearly articulated and rigorous research methodology;
- do not demonstrate substantial engineering, technological, methodological, or scientific contributions.
