Tổng quan về lý thuyết và khung đo lường vốn xã hội

Bài viết này tổng lược lý thuyết về vốn xã hội nhằm xây dựng cơ sở lý thuyết cho các nghiên cứu về chủ đề này. Mặc dù vốn xã hội là một khái niệm đa chiều kích và cho đến nay vẫn chưa có một định nghĩa thống nhất về khái niệm này nhưng bằng phương pháp nghiên cứu văn bản, so sánh các quan điểm về vấn đề này của các nhà nghiên cứu trong và ngoài nước, bài viết cho thấy quan điểm khá thống nhất của các nhà nghiên cứu về vốn xã hội: đây là một biến cấu thành, cần được định nghĩa và đo lường đầy đủ hai khía cạnh i) cấu trúc (mạng lưới) và ii) tri nhận (lòng tin). Ngoài ra, các loại vốn xã hội khác nhau có vai trò khác nhau. Bài viết cũng phân tích cơ sở khoa học cho việc phân chia vốn xã hội thành 4 loại: i) vốn xã hội gắn kết ii) vốn xã hội bắc cầu nối iii) vốn xã hội gắn kết- kết nối và iv) vốn xã hội bắc cầu nối – kết nối. Cách phân loại này khác với lý thuyết hiện hành, bao gồm 3 loại: i) vốn xã hội gắn kết, ii) vốn xã hội bắc cầu nối và iii) vốn xã hội kết nối.
