On 15 November 2006, Ho Chi Minh City Open University Journal of Science was officially licensed by the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Information and Communications) under printed license No. 169/GP-BVHTT.
On 15 September 2011, the Ministry re-issued the printed press license under Decision No. 1489/GP-BTTTT.
After 15 years of licensing and multidisciplinary development, the Journal has affirmed its role and position within the Vietnamese scientific publishing community. Throughout this journey, the Journal has fulfilled its mission of providing an academic platform for high-quality research across various fields.
On 30 August 2021, with the approval of the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications re-issued the printed and electronic press licenses under Decision No. 559/GP-BTTTT.
